Here's what parents have to say about our parties!
Both of our boys did Mad Science summer camps when they were younger, and loved the experience! It was a very fun and interactive experience for them. And counselor Beth Morrell is the best!!!
My son attended the Earth, Space & Beyond Mad Science Camp last summer and absolutely loved it! The hours were convenient for our family, and the location was close by for us. We're sending him again to a Mad Science camp this upcoming summer. These are well run camps, in our experience, and I recommend them for people looking for a fun, science-based camp experience.
Silver Spring, MD
Mad Science is a terrific program for today’s students. Our students have enjoyed the hands-on and challenging experiences that foster creative and higher-level thinking and problem-solving. Our school has appreciated the attention to detail as they use our facilities. Thanks to all at Mad Science!!!
When do I pay?
We will require a $150 non-refundable deposit to secure your party slot. At the end of your party, you will pay the Mad Science team for the remaining balance of the party including any additional children and add-ons purchased. You can pay with cash, via PayNow or Internet Bank Transfer.+
Do I need to provide anything?
We will need you to provide a folding table or card table so the Mad Scientist can setup the equipment. We will also need access to water for set-up and clean-up and access to electricity. Please let us know if your party location does not have either of these.+
How far in advance do I need to book my party?
Our party schedule fills up quickly. We suggest you book well in advance to get the date and time you want. Generally, at least 3 weeks in advance is recommended.+
Can I have less than 15 kids for the party?
Each Mad Science basic party package is catered for a minimum of 15 kids. The basic package price still applies for 15 kids and under.+
When should my guests arrive?
We recommend that your guests arrive at least 20-30 mins before the start of the Mad Science show to allow them to have time to eat, relax and settle down. And not miss any part of the exciting Mad Science show!+
Can I serve food and drinks to the kids during the Mad Science show?
We strongly advise against serving food and drinks to the kids during the show as we will require them to keep their hands free and clean to assist the Mad Scientist with the demonstrations and experiments.+
Can I set up the food/drinks table next to the Mad Science table?
As we do work with chemicals during the show, it is best not to have the food/drinks next to Mad Science. It will also distract the children when the guests help themselves to the food/drinks and will cause a disruption to the flow of the demonstrations and experiments.+
Will the kids be having hands-on experience during the show?
The Mad Scientist will typically invite some volunteers to assist throughout the 60 mins show. For shows with take home slime, each kid will get to make and take it home.+
